Instrument families consist of strings, percussion, brass, and woodwind, each offering unique tones and playing styles.

No! Rental payments through are made on a month to month basis. You may return your instrument at any time with no penalty and no additional fee.
No problem! Rent-to-own programs through allow parents to exchange instruments and offer rental credit towards a different instrument. Up to 18 months of rental credit can be applied when changing instruments. 6 months of rental credit can be applied when changing to different instrument types. 12 to 24 months of rental credit can be applied when exchanging to intermediate instruments.
Our Loss Damage Waiver Plus Maintenance Program (LDW) protects your rented instrument against theft or damage beyond repair. If on-site repair is unavailable, the instrument will be forwarded to VIR's Service Center to be repaired by certified instrument service professionals. In some cases, loaner instruments may be available. In other cases where a lengthy turnaround time is anticipated, an exchange may be facilitated. In case of theft, a police report must be filed within 72 hours.
